iBookstore Apple retains 30% of all revenue from sales. iBooks only accepts books in EPUB format. Customers can access the iBooks Store from the iTunes Store on a Mac or PC, and from the iBooks app on a
compatible iPad, iPhone and iPod touch.
Barnes and Noble Nook For NOOK Books with a List Price at or between $2.99 and $9.99, 65% of the List Price
For NOOK Books with a List Price at or below $2.98, or at or greater than $10.00 (but not more than $199.99 and not less than $0.99, 40% of the List Price).
Kindle There is a 35% royalty rate and a 70% royalty rate. If they want to make 70% “royalty” (profit per eBook sale) users must price their eBooks between $2.99 and $9.99.
Smashwords will provide distribution to a wide assortment of retailers (Kobo, Sony and iTunes to name a few). You will earn 60% of the list price for sales through our major retailers, and earn 85% net for sales at the Smashwords Store.
Draft2Digital will provide distribution to a wide assortment of retailers. They will publish your book in print and publish your ebook.
